Job Description
  • Ensure that Myanmar Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and IFRS requirements are met.
  • Ensuring Accurate & Timely returns to CBM and MIS information for Head of Department and Senior Management Team and Central bank of Myanmar directions and guidelines.
  • Ensuring preparation of financial statements for audit and finalization, sign off audited statements.
  • Ensuring accurate maintenance of Fixed Asset Register, Fixed Asset verification and insurance of Fixed Assets, Annual Maintenance Contracts.
  • Ensure any variations to budgets and forecasts are explained in management reports.
  • Ensure ALCO related to reports for every month end.
  • Maintain a documented process of accounting and financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate maintenance of General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledgers.
  • Track and monitor revenue for accuracy, verifying it against sub ledger report monthly.
  • Analyze the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future.
  • Involve in month-end and year-end closing process.
  • Ensure tax compliance (income, withholding taxes, employer taxes, property taxes, Commercial taxes, and any other applicable taxes, etc.).
  • Review company financial reports and seek out methods and practices to minimize financial risk and to reduce costs.
  • Update and implement financial policies and procedures and maintain a policy manual for the finance department.
  • Assist the Head of Department to formulate, streamline and develop initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Perform any tasks as assigned by the Head of Department and Management from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Professional accounting Qualification such as CPA or ACCA or ICMA preferred or advanced degree in accounting, business, finance or related field, MBA in Finance.
  • At least 8 years’ experience including 3 years’ experience as Senior Finance Manager position in Banking.
  • Understanding CBM’s law and directives, FI Law.
  • IAS, IFRS, auditing, accounting, financial management.
  • Strong management experience; integrity; honesty and understanding of data privacy standards.
  • Strong organizational skills; planning skills; problem-solving skills; research skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills; computer skills; multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent in Presentation Skill and Decision-making skill.
  • Good Command of English and Myanmar Communication skill is required.
